Whisper

This language textbook tells me:
sounds, reaching vocal cords
vibrate through them,
or not.
A whisper's sound, they say,
is voiceless.

I wonder how that can be true,
'cause when you whisper I love you
in quiet halls and corridors,
I always know the voice is yours.
